In-person visits always feel more…well…personal. Occasionally in-person visits may not be an option. The world shut down the day before our first scheduled author visit in 2020. Call us sentimental, but even now that life feels like it has gained some balance of normalcy, and in-person visits are our most common author visits we still want to offer our virtual option for our wider audience.

Whether it be a factor of timing, distance, or even world pandemic sometimes the best option is to have a virtual meet up. We do our absolute best to ensure every meetup is engaging and meaningful.

The topics we can discuss are varied but when you schedule your event with us we’ll coordinate those details to provide a personal feel to our conversation. Consider if you or your group would like to know more about writing, illustrating, self-publishing, the revision process, the inspiration or meaning behind a specific book, or just generally want to get to know more about the creators that contribute to Heartfire’s collection.

The following is a collection of offerings we are presenting currently. If there is a specific option you are interested in, but don’t see listed, please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask events@heartfirebooks.com. The worst that will happen is that we will politely decline.

• Pre-recorded message: This option can be a viable option if you are operating with a very precise time slot, or your event is scheduled for after hours, or internet connection can be unreliable. We have a playlist of general meetups that can be used at a moment’s notice. Runtimes vary from 15 – 30 minutes. If you would like to have a pre-recorded message that includes answers to questions submitted by your event participants then we will generally need one week’s notice to create your content for you. Runtimes can be customized to your needs, but will range from approximately 20-40 minutes. All pre-recorded videos are available for unlimited viewing for one year from purchase date. $50

• Live Virtual Visit – Short: Ready to know more about the professional world of writers and illustrators? This short (20-30 minute) chat can be used as either an introduction to an event or as a capstone to your group’s previous studies. We’ll talk and listen together as we celebrate the world of literacy. $65
• Live Virtual Visit – Long: Have a bigger group, or need a little more time to chat? Schedule a longer visit (45-60 minutes), and we’ll explore together the topics that most matter to you! $110
