“Reading is the grand adventure that makes children wise beyond their years, and keeps adults young at heart.”

There was a little girl who loved to read almost as much as she loved to tell stories. Her adventure began in Utah, but she soon found herself almost grown up studying at the University of Michigan-Flint. She fell in love with her study of history, literature, and anthropology. Knowing hard work was necessary to be good at anything, she majored in not one but all three.

With all that knowledge, she was almost prepared for the grandest adventure of her life…motherhood. With her family at her side, she has wangled llamas, rescued libraries, discovered a love of backpacking, and most thrilling of all told more stories.

Her debut work, Being Beautiful: A Discovery of Self-worth, embraces her love of the natural world and the empowerment of others to see their own self-worth. Each of her subsequent publications continues the legacy of empowering positive self-worth and insight into better appreciating the world around us.

She is still a firm believer that hard work is essential for being good at anything. If she’s not drawing or reading, you’re most likely going to find her in one of her gardens or on a hike with her family.
