First, thank you for scheduling an opportunity for our author to visit with your students. As memorable as a visit with an author might be for a child, meeting the children reading the stories we create is more meaningful and rejuvenating than we could ever describe.
Second, we know that as educators you have far too much placed on your shoulders and far too little time to accomplish it. With this page we hope to simplify as much of the coordination of our shared experience as we can for you. We have provided a pacing guide for each of the author visit options to aid in the process as the event draws near. In the end, you are more acquainted with your schools particular set of needs and variables, so if and how you implement these suggestions is entirely up to you with very little exception.
While these visits are labelled as “author” visits, many of the creators at Heartfire Books are also illustrators, and for the purposes of this page the terms are used interchangeably. Our current in-person visit options include the following, but if you have a particular event in mind that doesn’t seem to fit into one of these categories, please reach out and share with us your ideas at events@heartfirebooks.com. The worst that will happen is that we will have to politely decline the invitation.
Additionally, if you would prefer a virtual visit then hope over to our Virtual Meetups listings to view our offerings.
